One date, different local experiences
Your exact location determines whether the eclipse is total, partial or below the horizon. Skystral calculates the circumstances where you plan to observe.
2 August 2027 · Total solar eclipse
Skystral turns your location into a personal eclipse plan: local phase times, maximum coverage, viewing direction, Sun altitude and an interactive 3D preview.
The event at a glance
The path of totality crosses southern Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia. Most of Europe, much of Africa and a wider region across the Middle East and Asia will see a partial eclipse.

See the partial phase, maximum eclipse and—inside the path of totality—the start and end of totality in familiar local time.
Watch the Sun, Earth and Moon align, then preview the eclipse in the local sky around maximum from your chosen observing place.
Built for the questions that matter
The globally next solar eclipse is the annular eclipse of 6 February 2027, visible from parts of South America and Africa. If that event is visible from your chosen location, Skystral presents it first. For most European observers, the companion automatically selects the 2 August 2027 eclipse instead.
Never look directly at the Sun without proper solar viewing protection. Eclipse glasses or handheld viewers must comply with the ISO 12312-2 standard. Ordinary sunglasses are not safe. Only during totality—when the Sun’s bright face is completely covered—can observers inside the path briefly view without a solar filter.
Read NASA’s solar eclipse safety guidance before observing.
Common questions
Totality is visible only inside the narrow path across southern Spain, North Africa and parts of the Middle East. Skystral identifies whether your local view is total, partial or below the horizon.
Buildings, hills and trees can block the Sun even when an eclipse is visible in your region. Skystral shows the direction and altitude for every important phase.
Yes. Skystral runs directly in a modern browser. The Android version is also available on Google Play for people who prefer an installed app.
No. Skystral helps you plan where and when to look, but safe solar viewing equipment is essential throughout every partial or annular phase.
